Hood Hosts National AG’S For Criminal Law Conference

Attorney General Jim Hood hosted attorneys generals from across the country today at a conference in Oxford. General Hood is the co-chair of the National Association of Attorneys General (N.A.A.G.) Criminal Law Committee. The focus of this conference will be to address the growing concern of various cyber crime issues. “We’ll focus on protecting children from cyber bullying, discuss how to legally address cyber hate crimes, and focus on trends in prosecuting cyber criminals,” Hood stated. The one-day conference will also feature discussions on how Attorneys’ General offices can enhance their cyber crime units. Attorney General Jim Hood, as co-chair of the N.A.A.G. Criminal Law Committee, said “we’re pleased to host these AG leaders from throughout the country and share what we’ve done to fight cyber crime in Mississippi and discuss our state-of-the-art cyber crime lab that will come online later this summer.”
